Easter Bamff is a former farm manager’s house situated in the heart of Bamff Estate. The two storey, two bedroom house has recently been refurbished for holiday lets. It is light and airy with many windows facing south, east and west, with views of farmland and farm buildings. Bamff’s famous beaver wetlands are a five minute walk from the house.

On the ground floor, the comfortable sitting room has a wood burning stove, a single bed sized sofa, armchairs and a book case. A folding bed can be added. The dining room has a wood burning stove, table, four dining chairs and two basket chairs .A fully equipped kitchen has a small table and two chairs.

If the sitting room is to be used as a bedroom then things can be configured so that the dining room doubles as a dining/sitting room.

There is a toilet on the ground floor and a utility room by the back door with washing machine and pulley where you can dry your washing on wet days. For dry days there is a washing line on the laundry green at the back.

Upstairs, the master bedroom has a king size bed, wardrobe and chest of drawers. The twin bedroom has a wardrobe and chest of drawers. The bathroom has a restored roll-top bath and separate shower.

The house has central heating, and wifi, but the signal is weak and it can be intermittent.

The large private garden is fully enclosed and has a patio with outdoor furniture.

Note for dog owners:

Bamff estate is both a rewilding project and farm – in all areas there are roaming livestock and dogs must therefore be kept on leads at all times, except in any self contained garden belonging to the holiday accommodation.

Easter Bamff is on the Cateran Trail, featured in Observer Magazine’s 10 best long-distance walks in UK.

Nearby is the Scottish Woodland Skills Centre where many interesting courses are available.

If you would like to see the Bamff beavers, or explore our wildland project with a guide. please book in the “extras” when you book your accommodation, if possible, and arrange times at reception on arrival.

The Wildland walks takes approximately 2 hours and happens during the day, usually starting at 10 am or 3 pm. The guide – normally a family member – will take you round some of the Wildland area and explain our rewilding project. You will learn where the beavers live and what they eat and see many dams and other impacts. The walk requires moderate fitness only. Well behaved dogs on leads are welcome.

The beaver watch walk takes place in the evening, usually around 7.30 pm. From April to September there is usually a good chance of seeing beavers. Wear quiet clothes and no scent. (Beavers are sensitive to sound and smell). Dogs are not allowed.
