DESCRIPTION:Join us for one of four 1-hour birdsong walks, followed by a studio experience, lead by Peter Cowdrey of Planet Birdsong: Composer, pianist and ornithologist. \nChoose your time from the selection below, between 10am and 4pm.\nPeter has been studying birdsong all his life and is very knowledgeable and engaging.\nPeter will lead birdsong walks throughout the day, along the beaver wetlands, through woods and fields – identifying the birds you hear and explaining their meanings. These walks will be slow and contemplative and accessible to the reasonably active. Dress for the weather on the day.\nAs well as the walks Peter Threipland will be running a birdsong studio. This is a fascinating experience  in which people can get to know birdsongs better by singing the various sounds after hearing them slowed down. It is a kind of karaoke which makes birdsong more accessible to the human  ear and timeframe.  This will be filmed and then sped up to the speed of the bird, and a video clip will be sent to each participant.  \nPeter Cowdrey will direct you to book your time in the studio at the end of your walk. Your studio slot is included in the price of the walk but will take place on a first come first served basis on the day. \n \nLocation Information:\nBamff House, Alyth, Perthshire PH11 8LF.
